Tunbridge Wells: Teenager pleads guilty to rubber mallet attack at Bennett Memorial Diocesan School

A teenager accused of attacking two pupils with a rubber mallet at a school is facing sentence for four offences.

The 16-year-old has admitted attempted inflicting grievous bodily harm, assault causing actual bodily, possessing a bladed article and having an offensive weapon, a mallet.

The attacks happened at the Bennett Memorial Diocesan School at Culverden Down, Tunbridge Wells, on March 19.

The teenager, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was bailed and will be sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on September 21.

A psychiatric report was ordered.
