A village will be hosting an 'un-silent night' full of Christmas tunes in aid of Breast Cancer Kent.

The Bells Yew Green Village Hall in Tunbridge Wells is opening its door for the evening where favourite swing classics and Christmas tunes will be played by the Bell's Big Band.

A glass of wine and mince pie will be given to guests as organisers ask for help to support Breast Cancer Kent, a charity which aims to help local hospitals become centres of excellence for diagnosis and treatment.

The Bells Yew Green's big band is a full complement of saxaphones and brass and rhythm section. It was formed five years ago and performs regularly at local venues.

The event will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 8pm in Bayham Road. For more info visit: www.breastcancerkent.org.uk and https://www.facebook.com/breastcancerkenttw

Breast Cancer Kent is currently raising money for Tomosynthesis, state-of-the-art scanning equipment which hopes to detect 28% more cancers. At £100,000 so far, organisers are a third of the way to their total of £300,000.
