Woman hurt after being impaled on railings in Medway Road, Tunbridge Wells

Firefighters had to cut through metal railings to free a woman who became impaled as she was climbing over them last night.

It happened near the Grosvenor Bridge in Medway Road, Tunbridge Wells, shortly before 11.30pm.

Emergency crews used a saw and hydraulic cutters to release her while the woman was attended to by paramedics.

It is not known how seriously she was injured.
