A builder has been left out of work after his digger and trailer were stolen from his drive.

Nathan Woods, of Church Road, Paddock Wood, has been unable to take on any jobs since last Wednesday after his one-and-a-half tonne JCB was taken from outside his home.

The 31-year-old said he's still paying off the £10,000 finance for the vehicle, which will be even harder if he can't work.

"It's really affected me and my work," Nathan said.

"I'm still paying the finance on it, but I can't work, so won't be able to pay it.

"I went to work and came back to find out it was missing. I was out from around 7am to 2pm, so it must have happened then."

Nathan says police are investigating and have CCTV of the incident.

"Inquiries into the incident are ongoing..."

Police spokesman Martin Very said: "Officers are investigating the theft of a digger and trailer from Church Road between 7.25am and 2.30pm on Wednesday, February 5.

"Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers are asking anyone with information that may assist their investigation to call the appeal line on 01622 604 100, quoting crime reference 46/23518/20.

"You can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 or using the anonymous online form at Crimestoppers-uk.org."
