Health and Safety Executive (HSE) called as man dies after falling from scaffolding in Angley Road, Cranbrook

A man in his 60s has died after falling from scaffolding in Cranbrook.

Police officers and paramedics rushed to Angley Road at 12.45pm yesterday but the man died at the scene.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to assist the ambulance service following a report that a man had fallen from scaffolding. The man, aged in his 60s, died at the scene."

Police are appealing for information.

The HSE (Health and Safety Executive), which investigates accidents in the workplace, has been informed of the tragedy.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
