Man remains in critical condition after A21 Lamberhurst crash

A van driver remains in critical condition in hospital after a crash with a red double-decker bus.

Emergency services rushed to the London-bound carriageway of the A21 near Lamberhurst shortly after 2pm on Monday following the collision.

The driver of the white Renault Kangoo was airlifted to a London hospital after being treated at the scene.

Police are continuing too appeal for witnesses.

Any one who saw the vehicles or collision, or anyone with dash-cam footage is urged to call 01622 798538 quoting AW/JG/145/18.

Both carriageways were closed between the Scotney Castle roundabout and the Lamberhurst roundabout while emergency services deal with the incident.

The road did not reopen until 7.30pm.
