A refuse truck has been destroyed after it became engulfed in flames.

Two fire crews tackled the blaze in Pearsons Green Road, Paddock Wood, when the truck caught alight at around 9.30am.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed nobody was hurt in the incident and the fire was put out two hours later.

Steve Morgan is manager at the nearby Orchard Place Farm Fishing Lakes.

He said: "One of the workers ran up to our yard asking for a hosepipe, but it was too fierce by then."
