A main road was closed in both directions following a three-car crash.

The collision happened on the A228 Colts Hill near Maidstone Road, between Pembury and Paddock Wood around 3.15pm.

Emergency services attended and firefighters used cutting equipment to remove the roof of one of the vehicles.

A woman is reported to have been injured in the crash.

The A228 was closed at Maidstone Road, Pembury and Badsell Road and Colts Hill for three hours whilst emergency services cleared the scene.

The road reopened just before 7pm.
