Police closed a road after a lorry struck a railway bridge in Marden.

Pattenden Lane has been closed following the collision at around 10.40am.

Kent Highways was urging drivers to find an alternative route.

The were no delays reported to train services and the road reopened shortly after 12pm.

Engineers assessed the bridge but no structural damage was found.
