Man taken to King's College Hospital after accident in Bewlbridge Lane, Lamberhust

An unconscious man in his 60s was taken to a London hospital after being found on a cycle path in Lamberhurst.

The man suffered head, leg and hand injuries as a result of the accident near a dam in Bewlbridge Lane.

The air ambulance team was called and arrived in a road vehicle.

The ambulance came about 90 minutes late. Stock picture.

The man was assessed by paramedics and taken to King's College Hospital in London after suffering the injuries at 1pm on Thursday.

He was on a public path outside Bewl Water, the outdoor activities centre in Bewlbridge Lane, when the accident happened.

But a spokesman for Bewl Water said staff wished the man well.
