Dazzling Daffodils is a floral festival celebrating the eye-catching springtime flower with nearly 60,000 daffodils at Hever Castle.

If you want to take a peek at this beautiful display, located in the castle grounds near Sevenoaks, we’ve got 11 photos that are sure to put a spring in your step…

The display is open until Sunday, March 20, with daily tours with daffodil expert Johnny Walkers and head gardener Neil Miller.

The tours will explain how daffodils arrived in the UK, explore the thousands of different varieties and enable visitors to get closer to this fascinating flower.

“As gardeners, we love sharing Dazzling Daffodils at the Castle with visitors,” says Neil, a self-confessed daffodil-obsessive.

“The narcissus are one of the first perennials to bloom after the frost, and are considered a symbol of positivity, resilience and the promise of what’s to come.”

In October 2021, the gardening team at Hever Castle added thousands of extra daffodils to existing narcissus on the estate.

This year, new varieties have been added to Dazzling Daffodils, such as the smaller, bright yellow daffodil Quail, from Taylors Bulbs, and the white Tullybeg.

An assortment of daffodil varieties can be found throughout the castle grounds, including the estate, Anne Boleyn’s orchard, the outer moat, and the woodland and lake walks.

While Dazzling Daffodils ends this Sunday, the flowers are expected to be in bloom across the estate for the next four weeks.
