The UK’s obsession with pumpkins has evolved over the last 20 years, with now over 15 million pumpkins being grown in the UK.

At Pick Your Own Pumpkin, there will be over 70,000 pumpkins and squashes to choose from.

Whilst the orange carving pumpkin remains a favourite, the demand for other varieties has increased, and the pumpkin is becoming a popular autumnal culinary dish as well as a decoration!

From soup to muffins, ‘pumpkin spiced’ is popping up on menus everywhere!

This year, not only will Pick Your Own Pumpkin Sevington have the orange carving pumpkins but a range of squashes including Crown Prince (blue/grey), munchkins (mini pumpkins), Celebrations (green and white speckled), and Ghosts (white) to name a few.

“Whilst the orange carving pumpkin remains popular, we are seeing more families wanting different varieties for cooking,” Jemma Thompson, who manages Pick Your Own Pumpkin.
