Paddington, PG

Starring the likes of Hugh Bonneville and Nicole Kidman, this is a delightful live-action film with gentle humour for all the family.

Following a very messy Peruvian bear in his efforts to find a home, this takes the much-loved children’s classic and lights it up on the big screen.

Hunted by a crazed zoologist in snakeskin boots, Paddington must rely on the Brown Family to keep him out of trouble and full of marmalade.

An interesting modern look on issues surrounding family, adoption, immigration and loss, this takes these tricky issues and turns them into a hilarious adventure with a little dose of morality.

Well worth a run to car in the rain if you missed it last year.

Did you know? The sale of marmalade rocketed by 24% after Paddington was released.

Is this for me? This is a really charming story that will go down a treat with any child or nostalgic parent. If you enjoyed Stuart Little, this may be your favourite film of the decade. If you are a die-hard Paddington book lover, the plot may be a tad too different for your liking.

Running time: 95 minutes

Showing at: Rochester Cineworld
