When the song (I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life springs to mind, most people imagine the famous scene where Jennifer Grey launches herself into the bulging biceps of Patrick Swayze.

You’ll be pleased to know, you can see this unforgettable moment in the flesh, as the smash-hit musical Dirty Dancing comes alive on a Kent stage.

Get an eye full of buff bodies, clean cut muscles and ladies with sexy long pins to die for – the temperature will certainly be cranked up a notch.

The show, written by Eleanor Bergstein has original dialogue and dance sequences from the 1987 film.

Jessie Hart will join the tour to star as daddy’s girl Baby Houseman, as she falls in love on a family holiday with the resort’s dance instructor, Johnny Castle, played by Lewis Kirk.

The performer from just outside of Birmingham, says she is looking forward to appearing in Canterbury: “It’s my first time and I’m really excited. People have told me it’s a lovely place.”

The 22-year-old played Agnes in the ITV drama Arthur And George.

“I am a massive fan of Dirty Dancing and it was always one of those films in the house when we were growing up. Dancing isn’t my first thing by any means which in a way is good because that’s the same with Baby.

“There’s a lot of pressure because people know the film Dirty Dancing, but I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. It’s a great night out and there’s something for everyone. Women love it for the gorgeous Johnny and men get to see beautiful dancers with long legs! Everyone comes away smiling.”
