Boyzone had just knocked the Backstreet Boys off the No.1, John Major was Prime Minister and there were fax machines in most offices.

That's how long it is since Bluewater shopping centre in Greenhithe opened its doors - and it celebrates its 20th anniversary this weekend.

The Greenhithe centre opened on March 16, 1999, and has since welcomed millions of shoppers.
