Thousands will enjoy live music in the grounds of an historic castle again this week when a three-day music festival returns.

The Rochester Castle Concerts were first cancelled back in 2020 during the pandemic, and rescheduled for July, but will now go ahead from tomorrow until Saturday.

The Libertines, who last week tweeted how they were looking forward to it, kick off the comeback tomorrow, organised by promoters AGMP.

A few tickets remain on the door but are now not available online, while Friday night's evening is sold out with only general tickets at £37.50 plus a booking fee are now available for UB40 on Saturday.

Supporting the Libertines on Thursday will be locals The Ovines, Chappaqua Wrestling, Black Honey and Sports Team.

Friday's sold out evening will see Soul II Soul headlining, with support from The Brand New Heavies, Janet Kay and Carroll Thompson, Omar and Mad Yella.

Saturday’s show headlined by UB40, which has sold out of VIP tickets, will see support from The Selecter, Stone Foundation, Rhoda Dakar, The Style Councillors and the Petty Thieves.

There are strict entry requirements due to the pandemic so concertgoers are warned things could be slower on the gate.

Thursday’s show will start at 4pm, while Friday will start at 1pm and Saturday at noon. Last entry will be at 7.30pm on Thursday and Friday and 7pm on Saturday.
