Family days out this winter just got wilder.

Port Lympne Reserve and Howletts Wild Animal Park are offering free entry for children from three to 15 throughout this month.

Kids Go Free, which runs until New Year's Eve, means families can see the hundreds of wild animals at the sites in Hythe and Canterbury for less throughout winter, with children going free with a full paying adult.

Managing director Bob O’ Connor said: "Wrap up warm and enjoy wonderful days out for less, spotting our winter loving animals and new arrivals, before enjoying a warming drink and treat in one of our cafes or restaurants."

The 600-acre Port Lympne Reserve offers a chance to jump on board a safari truck to travel through South America, Asia and Africa in one day to see free roaming animals and see the UK’s largest outdoor dinosaur exhibition, Dinosaur Forest.

At Howletts Wild Animal Park visitors can see the largest herd of African elephants in the UK, including a new calf, come face to face with big cats in their glass fronted habitats, walk with lemurs and watch gorillas and discover Animals of the Ice Age.
