Worldwide cult phenomenon Ghost Stories is set to terrify audiences in Kent on its first UK tour.

Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson’s stage production, which was also released as a film starring Andy Nyman, Martin Freeman and Paul Whitehouse last year, will head out on tour after a sell-out West End run.

The Olivier award-nominated show invites audiences to enter a nightmarish world full of twists and turns, where all their deepest fears and most disturbing thoughts are imagined live on stage in a fully sensory encounter.

The show, which has moments of extreme shock and tension and is unsuitable for anyone under the age of 15, will come to the Marlowe Theatre from Tuesday, March 3 to Saturday, March 7, 2020.

The action unfolds when lecturer Professor Goodman argues that the supernatural is purely a trick of the mind.

The audience "attends" his lecture, telling of three people claiming to have encountered the supernatural.

Award-winning actor, director and writer Andy Nyman film credits include The Commuter, Death At A Funeral and Kick Ass 2. His TV appearances include Peaky Blinders, Wanderlust, Campus and Dead Set.

Jeremy Dyson is best known as a member of comedy group The League Of Gentlemen but also co-created and co-wrote the BAFTA nominated comedy drama series Funland and co-created, co-wrote and directed the Rose d’Or-winning all-female comedy show Psychobitches. His second collection of stories, The Cranes That Build The Cranes won the Edge Hill Award for short fiction.

Ghost Stories will be at the Marlowe Theatre from Tuesday, March 3 to Saturday, March 7, 2020.
