Fat Friends the Musical, is fun, fun and more fun from start to finish.

If you were a fan of the TV series, then it's a must, but if you didn't watch it like me, it doesn't matter as the show is packed with comedy and warmth and sparkle and an original storyline.

The Kay Mellor stage show is at the Dartford's Orchard Theatre until Saturday.

The all star cast, including Atomic Kitten's, Natasha Hamilton, Jodie Prenger, Joel Montague, Natalie Anderson, and Kent's own Sam Bailey, as well as Coronation Street star Kevin Kennedy, work brilliantly together to bring belly laughs, magical moments and more.

The show, packed with laughter, friendship, life and weight loss and reunites foodie friends in an original musical bulging with hopes, humour and heart.

The infamous group of loveable characters from the television series picks them up five years later as they are put through their Zumba paces at their local branch of Super Slimmers by the lovelorn Lauren, played by Emmerdale's Natalie Anderson while Jodie Prenger, as Kelly fantasises about fitting into the wedding dress of her dreams.

Natasha Hamilton stars as skinny Julia Fleshman, who owns Super Slimmers brand and brings a sort of Cruella De Vil character to life on the stage.

The star of the show for me was Natalie Anderson, who puts in a brilliant performance as Lauren, but Sam Bailey, Jodie Prenger and Kevin Kennedy all make the show what it is.

The set and the costumes are colourful, the songs are fun and catchy and the show is just designed perfectly to make you smile.

Produced by Joshua Andrews and Adam Spiegel, with original music and songs composed by Nicholas Lloyd Webber, the show is the first stage play directed and written by Kay, a prolific writer, her television credits include Band of Gold, The Chase, The Syndicate and more.
