Mud, mud glorious mud... and the more the better at Kent’s first Little Welly obstacle course.

The event is the country’s largest obstacle course designed specially for children and it comes to the county for the first time this weekend.

Created for children aged from four to 12, the 3K Little Welly will be held at the St Clere Estate, near Sevenoaks.

JLS star turned Kent farmer JB Gill will also be taking part with his wife and two children, and cutting ribbon on Saturday, May 11.

He said: “I’ll be there with my kids getting properly stuck into all the muddy challenges. I think it’s so important for young children to get outdoors and experience more of our countryside attractions.”

JB Gill now lives in Kent

Marina Fogle, who is married to presenter Ben Fogle, also backs the event, saying she and her kids love it.

It will feature more than 30 challenges with climbing walls, a huge water slide, scramble nets, balancing poles, foam pit - and lots of mud. Participants scale the heights of the Web Frame, conquer the looming Dark Crawl, splash through mud and water pits, brave the Spider Tunnel, slide around in foam pits and at the end collect a The Little Welly medal.
