Two significant musical forces are teaming up to present a concert that will “embody the spirit of the 1960s”.

Original Incredible String Band (ISB) member Mike Heron is marking his 70th year by joining forces with the altogether younger band Trembling Bells, to perform classic ISB material from their hugely influential first four albums.

The coming-together at Ramsgate Music Hall on Sunday, December 14, corresponds with Hux Records’ release of ISB’s album Live at Fillmore East, 1968.

ISB musical were pioneers in psychedelic folk and influential in the development of world music.

For their part, Trembling Bells are a tunefully literate group who joyously synthesise traditional folk with the romance of country music. Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen are the guiding lights in their embracing folk-rock and psychedelic sound.

Music starts at 7pm. Tickets cost £12. Visit www.ramsgatemusichall.com or call 01843 591815.
