The Red Arrows will be turning the skies above Folkestone red, white and blue on Friday, June 17 in memory of the airmen who fought in the Battle of Britain.

The RAF’s aerobatics display team will be arriving at 2pm.

They will performing over the Channel and along Folkestone seafront, with visitors being advised to head for The Leas and Lower Leas Coastal Park to get the best view of the action.

The Red Arrows are one of the world's leading aerobatic display teams

This year’s display will commemorate the 76th anniversary of the battle which was fought in the skies above Folkestone, Dover and the rest of Kent throughout the summer of 1940.

"We are delighted and honoured that the Red Arrows are returning to Folkestone for another year to amaze us with display of skill and bravery," said Folkestone mayor Martin Salmon.
