Chris Colfer

Hundreds of Glee fans turned up at Bluewater on Sunday to meet star Chris Colfer.

Chris, who plays Kurt Hummel on the hit TV show, has branched out from his acting roles to pursue a new career – writing children’s fiction.

He met fans and signed copies of his latest novel The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell at Waterstones.

It tells the story of twins Alex and Conner Bailey, who receive a book from their grandmother which takes them to a special place: the Land of Stories, where fairy tales are real.

But as Alex and Conner soon discover, the stories they know so well haven’t ended in this magical land—Goldilocks is a wanted fugitive, Red Riding Hood has her own kingdom, and Queen Cinderella is about to become a mother.

The 23-year-old actor was also promoting his first novel Struck by Lightning, which has now been made into a film.
