Soak up the culture this weekend with Maidstone’s third annual Art Market.

Contemporary art comes hand in hand with live music, dance and poetry to Lockmeadow in Barker Road on Saturday.

The previous Art Markets have brought hundreds to the Agricultural Hall to see the art on show, see performances, and take some art home with them.

It aims to make art affordable, and give people a chance to buy direct from the artist, or try their hand at something new.

Attractions include a charity art auction for the Foundling Museum, hosted by star of Channel 4’s Four Rooms, Cranbrook-based antiques expert Raj Bisram at 2pm.

The event is from 9am to 4pm and features artists including Fleur Alston, Esther Brown, Rod Macintosh and Samuel Capell.
