Follow a tiny seed’s journey from America to help preserve its species in Kent.

A new photographic trail at Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest in Goudhurst, which opens this week takes visitors through the project which took conifer seeds from the USA’s north west coast back to the Weald.

On display until September, the outdoor photography trail highlights the work to conserve rare and endangered conifers carried out by the team there.

Twelve large-scale photographs around the site show how the Forestry Commission team spent three weeks in September gathering wild seed from some of the world’s tallest, oldest and rarest trees.
