A fast-paced thriller based on Oscar Wilde's novel The Picture of Dorian Gray promises to have audiences on the edge of their seats when it premieres next month.

The play has been adapted and directed by Séan Aydon, and features Wilde’s famous wit and a stellar cast.

In a society obsessed with youth and beauty, Dorian is given the chance to keep his looks forever. But at what cost...?

The Picture of Dorian Gray will premiere at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley

The Picture of Dorian Gray is the story of a cultured, wealthy, and beautiful young man's downfall. Fearing that his good looks will fade with age, he wishes that a portrait painted of him could bear the burden of the ageing process, leaving him forever young.

But the wish has disastrous consequences.

Co-produced with Churchill Theatre, Bromley and Malvern Theatres, the show premieres at the Churchill Theatre before heading off on a national tour.

Katherine Senior of Tilted Wig Productions says: "I am thrilled that we have been able to put together such a talented group of actors to perform one of Oscar Wilde’s finest works. With the addition of Jonathan Wrather in the role of Lord Henry Wotton, this

new production is set to enthrall audiences across the country and we cannot wait to premiere the show at the Churchill Theatre."

The show features Gavin Fowler as Dorian Gray, Daniel Goode as Basil Hallward and Kate Dobson as Sybil Vane.

The Picture of Dorian Gray is at the theatre from Thursday, March 7 to Saturday, March 9. To book, visit churchilltheatre.co.uk, call 020 3285 6000 or email tickets@churchilltheatre.co.uk
