The Leisure Society, coming to Canterbury's Gulbenkian Theatre

Since forming in 2009, the British folk-pop group The Leisure Society have twice been nominated for the prestigious Ivor Novello songwriting award, for debut single The Last Of The Melting Snow and in 2010 for Save It For Someone Who Cares.

The brainchild of songwriter and film score composer Nick Hemming, the band's Indie anthems have seen them dubbed the English answer to popular American acts such as Fleet Foxes.

They will be performing at 7.30pm on Sunday, December 1, at Canterbury's Gulbenkian Theatre. Tickets are £14. Call 01227 769075.
