Tom Kerridge launches drive-in cinema and food at Hever Castle this summer

Tickets have gone on sale for a new drive-in cinema experience being launched in the county by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge.

Pub in the Park founder Tom is staging ultimate drive-in theatre experience with Drive & Dine Theatre at Hever Castle this summer.

Guests will be able to choose from family films, classics and blockbusters, while tucking into an exclusive menu curated by Tom to enjoy in the comfort and safety of their car.

With personal speaker systems for each car and food served straight to each parking bay, the event has been carefully organised with social distancing and safety in mind.

Tom said: “I am so excited to announce a great new event created to have a load of fun in a way that is safely suited to current times. Come and eat some good grub, catch some quality movies, and make some new memories with your loved ones. It’s the perfect trip out of the house."

Films on offer include 1917 and Knives Out starring Daniel Craig; The BFG and Aladdin and drive-in classics Grease, Back to the Future and Jaws.

His Drive & Dine menu includes ‘That’ Bacon Cheeseburger with maple cured bacon, Chicken Tikka Masala, Five Bean Chilli Vegan Burrito and also Picnic Boxes for adults or children. Desserts include TKO Biscuit Cheesecake or Millionaire's Chocolate Pot.

Hever Castle

There will be daytime and evening viewings. To comply with Government regulations and ensure a risk-free environment, cars will be spaced out, all staff will wear protective face wear and gloves, food and drink will be served through contactless methods and tickets will be sent electronically and checked from a distance.

Comedian Mark Watson is also staging a Carpool Comedy Club on Friday, July 17.

Tickets for the Hever Castle event from Tuesday, July 14 to Sunday, July 19 are on sale now.

Each screening costs £17.50 for adults and between £5.50 - £7.50 for children while food options range from £4 to £15.
