TV comic Vic Reeves is best-known for his prolific partnership with Shooting Stars sidekick, Bob Mortimer.

But there is another side to Vic – real name Jim Moir – and it’s that of serious artist.

The artwork of the comedian, who lives in Charing, is represented by TV antiques expert Michael Hogben, who lives in Hythe. The pair have organised an exhibition of Vic’s work at Westenhanger railway station. It features 145 new pieces – pottery paintings and collages – and is on display until Sunday, August 17.

Michael said: “The visual ramblings of Vic Reeves will explore how his many artistic influences have come together to produce such a wide-ranging and eclectic output, while evoking the importance of performance to all his creative endeavors.

“Works range from drawings and collages to large-scale paintings, all with hints of wit and absurdity. Prepare yourself for a colourful and humorous show by a man of multiple talents.”

An auction of the work will take place at 2.30pm on Sunday.
