Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance called to medical emergency in Whitstable

The air ambulance has landed in Chestfield park after being called to a medical emergency.

The park off Chestfield Road in Whitstable was used as the closest landing site to a home nearby.

A 999 call was made at 1pm today, but it is not known what the emergency was.

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance

Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance spokesman Jamie Cheshire said: "The air ambulance was called to a medical emergency in Whitstable at 1pm today.

"The emergency was at a private resident address and the helicopter landed in a nearby recreation ground.

"There is no more information at this stage."
