Fire at Seychelles Fish Bar in Tankerton tackled by emergency crews

Firefighters tackled a blaze at a fish and chip shop near Whitstable.

Plumes of smoke were seen billowing from the top of the building at the Seychelles Fish Bar in Tankerton Road.

A crowd of onlookers gathered to watch emergency crews deal with the fire which started in a fryer.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the shop and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.

No one was reported to be injured.
