A Lego and craft beer club will launch in Whitstable next month.

Dubbed the ultimate nerd nirvana, the quirky idea is to dive into a box of the classic bricks while swigging a pint.

Organiser Tatton Spiller says people can come alone or in a group and everyone can build what they like, but he has some strict rules too - no kits allowed and all structures will be destroyed at the end of the night.

Craft beer and lego club starts next month.

The sessions will run at the new Twelve Taps in Whitstable High Street on the second Sunday of every month, starting on Sunday, September 11 at 8pm-10pm.

The club costs £5 to join and each session attended will be £2.

Tatton says he may make it a fortnightly or even weekly event if it proves popular.

He added: "‘This is just a wonderful combination of two things I love.

"Craft beer is really exciting right now, with more and more breweries popping up all over the country.

"The Lego allows adults to be creative and have fun.

"Really, I can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday night."

Tatton is also the brains behind Whitstable Jaws, which you can find on Twitter and Facebook.
