British Transport Police arrest man after Whitstable railway station vandalism spree

A man has been arrested after a window was smashed and a card machine ripped from a wall inside a railway station.

British Transport Police were called to the vandalism spree at Whitstable railway station this morning.

The incident took place at Whitstable railway station this morning

A spokesman for the force says a man walked into the building urging staff to call for officers, before proceeding to carry out the damage and hurl hand sanitiser across the site.

A suspect was later apprehended.
