Police release e-fit of Whitstable burglary suspect

Police are hunting a burglar caught snooping around a man's home in Whitstable.

The householder, in his 30s, was in his bedroom when he heard a strange noise.

He opened the door to find the man standing there, who ran off.

He was seen to leave on foot down a nearby alleyway.

Nothing was reported missing during the incident, which took place in Park Avenue at around 7.15pm on June 12.

Police have released a computer-generated image of the suspect they would like to identify.

The suspect was described as a white man, aged between 45 and 50 with a medium build.

He was reported to be 5 ft 11 ins tall, with wavy collar-length, light brown hair and was clean-shaven.

He was described as wearing a lightweight brown jacket, and blue jogging bottoms.
