Crash outside Whitstable Tesco causes delays

Drivers faced delays around Whitstable Tesco this morning after an accident outside the store's entrance.

The collision, involving a Fiat van and VW Golf, happened at 11.18am.

Firefighters were seen clearing up a fuel spill outside the supermarket entrance, with police officers controlling traffic.

Kent Police spokesman Scarlet Jones said: "We received a report of a collision involving a black VW Golf and a white Fiat van at 11.18am on Wednesday 26 August.

"Officers attended the scene in Millstrood Road, Whitstable. No injuries were reported.

"The road is now clear."
