Teenager slashed in knifepoint robbery in Whitstable alleyway

A teenager suffered wounds to his head and arms in a knife attack in a Whitstable alleyway.

The 17-year-old boy was slashed by a robber who stole his smartphone just off Middle Wall at around 10pm yesterday.

Police said he was rushed to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford with "cuts consistent with being attacked with a knife".

Several police cars, two ambulance cars and an ambulance were called to the scene.

Police are investigating and ask anyone with information to call the appeal line on 01843 222289 quoting reference ZY/51965/17.
