Chestfield: Train delays after vehicle hits bridge

Trains are delayed after a lorry became wedged under a bridge in Chestfield this afternoon.

Southeastern trains between Ramsgate and Faversham are currently running late after the lorry became stuck.

Police were called to the bridge in St John's Road at around 3pm.

A vehicle has hit a bridge in Chestfield.

A police spokesman said: "Officers are attended to assist with traffic however the lorry had been moved on arrival."

Southeastern have said that trains are running but at a reduced speed which will cause delays into rush hour.
