One lane of the A299 Thanet Way is closed while emergency crews deal with a crash involving a single car.

Two people – a driver and a passenger – are believed to have been injured in the accident, in which a Vauxhall Mokka left the coastbound carriageway between Herne Bay and Whitstable.

Police, fire and South East Coast Ambulance Service crews were scrambled to the scene just before noon.
