New Whitstable manager Marcel Nimani made a winning start on Saturday at Stansfeld.

Having been appointed earlier this week, Nimani oversaw a 2-0 victory as Dean Grant and Victor Aiyelabola were on target at Foxbury Avenue in the Southern Counties East Premier Division.

The Oystermen had lost 1-0 at home against the same opposition last weekend in the Kent Senior Trophy in what proved manager Richard Styles' final game in charge.

Four-goal Trevor McCreadie helped Tunbridge Wells end Erith & Belvedere’s perfect league record in emphatic style.

Danny Lear put the early frontrunners in front before forward McCreadie struck three times in the first half, adding another after the restart.

Jack Walder then added a fifth in a 5-1 success for Luke Carpenter’s Tunbridge Wells outfit who have re-signed striker Matt Gething from Whitstable.

Despite the defeat, Erith & Belvedere are still 11 points clear of second-placed Erith Town, although Erith Town do have two games in hand.

Captain Junior Baker struck for Lordswood who beat Punjab United 3-2.

Kameiko Pope-Campbell also netted for them in the first 15 minutes, with Paul Vines and Noah Hamelberg replying for the visitors, before winger Richard Pingling scored the all-important fifth goal.

Lordswood started ex-Whitstable captain Freeman Rogers who has also left The Belmont club following Styles’ resignation last Sunday.
