The store, which sells books and figures for the tabletop fantasy game, has suffered extensive damage in the blaze.

One member of staff estimated around £100,000 worth of stock is at risk after the fire broke out shortly after 2pm.

The cause of the blaze is unknown at this stage.

Surrounding shops including Savers, Wilko and the Kentish Express' own office, had to be evacuated.

Staff were able to return shortly after, though the smell of smoke has lingered.

A spokeswoman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to a commercial property fire near Park Street in Ashford.

"Three fire engines were sent to the scene and crews arrived to a fire located in a room at the rear of the property.

"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and a main jet to extinguish the blaze, before clearing the smoke logged property with a PPV fan."
