Family of Christopher Fisher continue to search for missing Spaniel

The family of an autistic man who went missing more than a week ago are still searching for his dog, days after being told a body has been found.

Christopher Fisher went missing with black and white cocker spaniel Molly in or around Dering Woods near Pluckley, Ashford.

A body was found in woodland near Smarden during the search for him on Friday.

While formal identification is yet to take place, Mr Fisher's family has been informed.

Officers and ambulance crews attended and a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police spokesman said: "The man’s death is being treated as non-suspicious and a report will be completed for the coroner."

Chris Fisher went missing on Thursday, August 9

"I can report that Christopher Fisher's dog has not be found at this stage."
