Man remains in critical condition in hospital following crash on the A21 Sevenoaks Road, near Bromley

A man in his 60s remains in hospital following a serious collision in Orpington.

The accident happened shortly before 5pm on Friday on the A21 Sevenoaks Road, at the junction with London Road.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam footage of it.

A red Ford KA car was travelling towards Hayes when it was involved in a collision with a Scania lorry.

The occupants of the car were taken to hospital where a man in his 60s remains in a critical condition. A woman in her 20s was also treated for minor injuries.

No arrests have been made and the driver of the lorry is assisting police with their inquiries.

Officers from the serious collision investigation unit (SCIU) are investigating and are keen to hear from any drivers or witnesses with information.

They are also seeking any dashcam footage of either vehicle before the collision.

Any witnesses yet to speak with police are asked to call the SCIU at Catford on 020 8285 1574 quoting CAD 5200/25SEP20.
