A man is in a critical condition following a stabbing in Bromley.

Police and ambulance services descended on the scene in St Paul's Cray at around 4.41pm this afternoon.

The air ambulance was also called to the scene close to Mickleham Road and Chipperfield Road.

A man, believed to be in his 20's, was found with stab wounds.

The victim was airlifted to a London hospital where is condition is understood to be critical.

A police spokesman confirmed that inquiries are ongoing and there have been no arrests at this stage.

A section 60 stop and search order is in place for the whole of Bromley borough until 5am tomorrow.
