Man taken to major trauma hospital after falling through roof near Bursted Woods, Bexleyheath

A man has been taken to hospital after falling through a roof.

An air ambulance was spotted landing in Bursted Woods, Bexleyheath at 3pm following the incident nearby.

Police were also in attendance following reports a man had fallen through a roof in Wenvoe Avenue.

Paramedics treated the person at the scene who was later taken to a major trauma hospital by road.

A spokesman from London’s Air Ambulance Charity said: “Our advanced trauma team was dispatched via aircraft by London Ambulance Service at 3pm today to reports of a fall from height in the Bursted Woods area.

"After treatment on scene the patient was transferred by road to a major trauma hospital accompanied by London’s Air Ambulance.”

The extent of his injuries are not known at this stage.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Police were called at 3.02pm on Monday, 26 October, to assist London Ambulance Service at Wenvoe Avenue, Bexleyheath.

"It was reported that a male had fallen through a roof. Police attended, along with paramedics, and the air ambulance was also requested."
