Man trapped in van taken to hospital after bollard crash in Long Lane, Bexleyheath outside Travellers Home pub

A man has been taken to hospital after a van crashed into a bollard outside a pub.

Fire crews were called to release the man who had become trapped inside the vehicle in Long Lane, Bexleyheath.

Fire engines have blocked off parts of Long Lane in Bexleyheath this morning while they respond to an incident

The incident happened shortly after 9am outside the Travellers Home pub.

A van had collided with a traffic bollard opposite Russell Park.

Firefighters released the man who was trapped in the vehicle due to his injuries and he was taken to hospital via ambulance.

Three fire engines were in attendance at the height of the incident.

Crews blocked the corner of the road near Russell Park and police put a diversion in place along Bowness Road.

The incident was declared over for firefighters shortly before 10am.
