A Kent hotel is launching an outdoor cinema featuring a 30ft screen.

The Cave Hotel and Golf Resort, in Boughton on the outskirts of Canterbury, will be screening its debut film - The Greatest Showman - next weekend.

On Saturday, July 4, guests are invited to bring a blanket and settle down to watch the family-friendly hit musical, just off the first tee in the hotel's 250-acre grounds.

Popcorn and other light refreshments will be available, and an outdoor bar will be open until 11pm.

Food from an on-site drive-thru is also included in the price of cinema tickets.

Earlier this month, the hotel teamed up with popular smokehouse restaurant The Korean Cowgirl to launch a meat-packed takeaway menu.

The Canterbury restaurant, which has the same owners, is offering dishes including wings, burgers and smoked sausages, as well as pulled pork and brisket available by the half-pound - available for collection from The Cave.

Cinema tickets cost £15 for under-12s, and include a burger and chips from the Korean Cowgirl drive-thru. Tickets for under-18s cost £20, and also include a burger and chips.

Adult entry comes at £25, and includes half a bottle of Prosecco, plus a £5 voucher towards food from the Korean Cowgirl drive-thru menu.

A spokesman for The Cave said: "We are thrilled to bring you Cave’s Outdoor Cinema experience, what a great way to safely celebrate our return to business!

"We guarantee a great night out for all the family."

Social distancing measures will be in place.

Gates open 6.30pm, while the film will run from 9pm to 10.50pm.
