The boy and three other teenagers then run from the scene laughing. The incident happened on Saturday.

The car's rear window was totally smashed

The video - which was posted to Facebook by the victim's sister - has sparked shock from city residents.

"That's dreadful to see," said one commenter. "So sad to see this happening. They should be made to pay for damages!"

Another branded the teenagers' behaviour "disgusting", adding: "I wonder how they would feel if someone did that to their mother or father’s car! Absolutely no empathy whatsoever."

Police are investigating the incident, which happened at about 3.15pm.
