A French-inspired restaurant chain is giving away free tea and coffee to help with the cost of living.

Café Rouge, which has a branch at Bluewater, is welcoming guests for a complimentary cuppa or Americano for the month of January.

The offer gives people the chance to get out of the house and enjoy a free treat – with no strings attached.

It is available for dine-in only and valid between 11.30am-4.30pm from Monday to Friday.

Tom Patrick, head of marketing at Café Rouge, said: "We know that January tends to be a difficult month, both emotionally and financially, for people following the holidays, even more so this year with the cost-of-living crisis impacting people across the country.

"We wanted to introduce this offer to welcome guests who are feeling blue to visit one of our warm and friendly venues to relax and enjoy themselves.

"Our teams are really excited about this initiative and cannot wait to greet both new and familiar faces visiting our sites with a warm welcome."
