The first occupants are expected to move in next Summer with a collection of 34 one and two bedroom flats up for grabs.

Buyers will have the benefits of a communal owners’ lounge, a guest suite, a lodge manager, and a 24 hour emergency call alarm service.

In anticipation of the town centre build's scheduled opening, locals are being urged to put forward a name for the development.

There's just one rule: it must end in "Lodge".

The lucky winner will receive £100 and the winning name will also appear on the development itself and in all related marketing material.

Churchill’s senior regional marketing manager Anne Scherrer said: “We’re delighted to be bringing our new development to Swanley and have seen lots of interest from local over 60s keen to find out more about the benefits of the retirement living lifestyle.

"Anyone interested in finding out more about the new development can register their interest now for updates, and be among the first to find out when the apartments will be released for sale.”

To enter the naming competition, send your suggested name and the reason for it along with your name, address and phone number to: Freepost, CHURCHILL RETIREMENT LIVING, or by email to anne.scherrer@crl.co.uk.

The deadline for entries is next Friday December 17.

If more than one person suggests the winning name, the winner will be randomly selected. The chosen name is subject to approval by Sevenoaks council.
