Highways England confirmed on Twitter they were dealing with the accident with the help of police.

Kent Police confirmed they were called at 10am to a report of a collision reported to involve several vehicles, on the A282 London-bound.

Officers attended alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service and police say no serious injuries have been reported.

They said the incident did cause an obstruction in the carriageway but the scene is now reported to be clear.
